World's most famous Sport fishing tournament! over $4M PRIZE!
Started in 1981 by Bob Bisbee, the Black & Blue Marlin Tournament has grown from six teams with a purse of $10,000 to more than 150 teams with millions of dollars on the line. In 2006 the Black & Blue had its biggest overall cash payout of $4,165,960 MILLION DOLLARS!! This was, and remains, the largest payout in sportfishing history.
In 2000 Bisbee’s expanded to the east side of the Baja California Sur peninsula with the East Cape Offshore Tournament in Buenavista. In addition to marlin, this tournament included dorado and tuna and became so popular that a third event with the same format was started in 2002 – the Los Cabos Offshore Tournament.
Iron Man Los Cabos is back!
Test your will, strength and endurance, or simply come see the ultimate sporting event at this year’s Ironman competition in Los Cabos on November 5, 2023. Participants are challenged with a total of 120km of swimming, cycling and race through the landscapes of Baja California Sur.
A wide swath of Baja is being covered, including the Hotel Zone portion of the race in San José del Cabo, the swimming section at Playa Palmilla and the cycling segment that extends from Cabo San Lucas through the Tourist Corridor. . Family, friends and tourists alike come to cheer on the committed athletes as they try to outdo each other in what is quickly becoming the biggest triathlon in the world.

Gastrovino Wine Festival
Hey wine lovers! Mark your calendars because everyone’s favorite Wine Fest is back! This year, it’s happening from December 8 to 10 in the enchanting town of Todos Santos. It’s going to be a blast, and you won’t want to miss it!
The fest kicks off with a Gastronomical Tour on the south side of town. We’ll be hopping between several restaurants, tasting the best of what Todos Santos has to offer. And guess what? There’s an afterparty at the Guaycura hotel’s Sky Lounge! It’s the perfect place to unwind and meet fellow wine enthusiasts.
On December 9, we’re exploring the north side of town. More restaurants, more delicious food, and yes, more wine! And the fun doesn’t stop there. We’re throwing another afterparty, this time just across the street from the Casa Tota hotel. It’s going to be epic!

New Desalination in cabo
After waiting for what felt like forever (okay, it was just two years, but who’s counting?), the Los Cabos government finally got the green light for their second desal plant. Big shoutout to Mayor Oscar Leggs for the announcement!
We’re talking about a cool $60 million USD that’s now chilling in the trust funds, all set for this mega project. And here’s the best part: by the end of 2024, Cabo San Lucas will be sipping on an impressive 66 gallons of potable water every single second. That’s a lot of H2O! So, cheers to progress and staying hydrated. Cabo’s future is looking a whole lot quenched!
