For forty years, Cabo Del Sol operated on a specific promise: great golf, consistent weather, reliable resort bones, and a car for everything else. Cartier and Dior were Mexico City errands. A cocktail bar with a stage was a Cabo San Lucas night. The social energy that shows up late and stays later lived somewhere down the corridor.
That calculus changed in December 2025, and the change was not gradual.
In a single month, two institutions opened inside Cabo Del Sol's gates. The Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol debuted December 4 — the first Park Hyatt hotel in Mexico. Eleven days later, Ánima Village celebrated its official opening with more than 1,500 guests, becoming the most complete luxury retail and dining plaza in Los Cabos. Soho House Los Cabos, confirmed for later in 2026 with a Beach Club, Cecconi's, a Sunset Bar, and a Cabaret Bar, follows on the same footprint.
This is not a coincidence of timing. In September 2025, RLH Properties — the Mexico City-based firm that developed both the Four Seasons and the Park Hyatt within Cabo Del Sol — acquired a 51% controlling interest in Cabo Del Sol's holdings from Oakmont Corporation, according to Mexico News Daily's coverage of the transformation. The company that built the trophy hotels now controls the master plan. The December openings are the direct result.
Cabo Del Sol crossed a threshold. It is no longer a golf community with good restaurants. It is the one address in Los Cabos where a resident can cover a morning espresso, a spa afternoon, a gallery opening, a signature tasting menu, and a late-night performance bar without once leaving the gate.
December: Two Openings, One Month
The Park Hyatt sits on a 26-acre beachfront parcel inside the private community. The accommodation mix runs from 163 guestrooms and 88 suites to three private ocean-view villas sized for multigenerational groups. Entry rooms begin at 649 square feet with a 186-square-foot terrace. The presidential villa extends to 3,202 square feet of interior space with a 3,131-square-foot lap-pool terrace.
For a resident, the room count is not the point. The programming is. Mesa Madre opened with the hotel — a Mexican kitchen built around family-style recipes and the culinary traditions the brand describes as "abuela cooking." Costamar Beach Club runs all day, oriented toward seafood and the Sea of Cortez view. Dátil Coffee Shop covers mornings. The Araya Spa came online in Q1 2026, anchored by a 59,000-square-foot fitness and wellness center — the largest in the region, according to the Park Hyatt's official opening announcement. Silán, the property's signature restaurant under Executive Chef Miguel Gomez, opens spring 2026 with a Levantine menu shaped by North African and Middle Eastern techniques applied to seasonal Baja ingredients, paired with an Old World wine cellar and a dedicated cocktail program.
The Park Hyatt is the second major flag at Cabo Del Sol in eighteen months. The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol opened May 2024, with 96 guest rooms and 61 branded residences. The Mercado at the Four Seasons — alongside existing community anchors Palmerio, Coraluz, and Bar Brisal — has been pulling corridor residents off the highway since. The Park Hyatt's arrival means the community now runs two of the most recognized luxury hotel brands in the world on the same private street, each with its own restaurant ecosystem and wellness floor.
Ánima Village opened its first phase on December 4, 2025, at Carretera Transpeninsular Km 10.3. The plaza is the work of Sordo Madaleno's SOMA Group, built in local stone and terracotta with botanical corridors, water features, and open-air courtyards that read as desert-meets-sea rather than shopping center. Hours run 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The gate does not apply — Ánima is open to the public.
Brands trading since December include Abercrombie & Fitch, Hugo Boss, Lululemon, the Mac Store, Nike, Sephora, Zimmermann, Golden Goose, Alo Yoga, Zadig & Voltaire, SKIMS, Salomon, and Birkenstock, among others. The opening evening was also the debut of Arte Abierto Baja, Ánima's platform for contemporary art programming. The inaugural installation came from internationally recognized Mexican artist Abraham Cruzvillegas, made on-site from locally sourced Cabo materials, as the official Visit Los Cabos account of the opening documents. The program is ongoing; the installation rotates.
What Comes Next
Phase 2 of Ánima Village, scheduled for 2026, pushes the plaza to roughly 84 brands total. The incoming names include Cartier, Dior, Prada, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Bvlgari, and Tiffany & Co. Mexico News Daily's January 2026 report frames it precisely: "the kind of shopping many Cabo regulars used to save for Mexico City, LA, or even Europe will now be sitting between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo." That sentence describes the end of a particular errand — the trip residents made when they wanted something the corridor could not supply. Phase 2 closes that gap.
Soho House Los Cabos follows in the second half of 2026. The brand's own new-openings page describes a Beach Club, Cecconi's, a Sunset Bar, a Cabaret Bar, 15 bedrooms, and a full Soho Health Club with pool and gym — all set inside the Cabo Del Sol area. SOMA Group, the same firm behind Ánima Village, is the development partner. The Cecconi's will be the first in Baja California. The Cabaret Bar will be the first dedicated late-night performance venue built into any Corridor residential community. Before Soho House, if you wanted that kind of room — low-lit, with a lineup and a proper cocktail — you drove.
The Week Without Leaving
Here is what the full build-out means in practice.
Monday: Dátil Coffee at Park Hyatt, cart-accessible from most Cabo Del Sol addresses. Tuesday: a round on the Cove Club's Jack Nicklaus layout — including the stretch at Hole 5 that faces the Pacific — then Costamar for lunch. Wednesday: Araya Spa in the morning, Ánima Village in the afternoon, with time for the Arte Abierto installation alongside the Sephora and Alo Yoga runs. Thursday: Mesa Madre for an early dinner. Friday: Cecconi's once Soho House opens, the Cabaret Bar after. Saturday: Silán and the Levantine tasting menu, the Old World wine list, the cocktail program. Sunday: the cart, the beach, wherever.
That is a full week in which leaving is optional rather than routine. There was no version of Cabo Del Sol in which that week existed before December 2025. Mexico News Daily's January 2026 piece, after cataloguing the same sequence of openings, concludes that Cabo Del Sol — now forty years into its existence — has become "the most impressive resort and residential community in Los Cabos." The evidence for that claim is not a marketing designation. It is a dinner reservation and a shopping list that no longer require a highway.
