David is designing a new 18-hole golf course that promises to be a golfer’s paradise. This course isn’t just any addition to the landscape; it’s set to be a blend of challenge and beauty, offering an experience that golfers will cherish.
The course will be a central feature of the Baja Bay Club, an expansive new property development boasting 500 residences. This club is shaping up to be a significant attraction in the area, and the addition of a golf course designed by a figure like David McLay Kidd only adds to its allure.
Revolutionizing Todos Santos: The Dawn of a New Era with Delek Development
The 2024 showcase in Todos Santos will feature over 16 homes, each hosting a range of artists, with more than 25 different artistic styles on display. Visitors can expect an array of mediums, from textiles and jewelry to photography and various painting techniques. The event highlights the diversity of artistic talent, including woodwork, ceramics, and pottery.
In related news, the Delek project in Todos Santos is moving forward, as reported by David Flores. An environmental impact assessment has been approved, and construction is set to begin in 2024. The project, taking a decade to complete, will transform the Las Playitas area, 6.5 miles north of Todos Santos. It includes 6 hotels, 100 residences, commercial spaces, restaurants, pools, beach clubs, and essential water management facilities. This development signifies a major change for the region.
Tennis For All: Public Courts Set to Open in Cabo
Cabo’s much-awaited answer to public tennis access is finally here. Mex Tenis, the organizer of the ATP 250 tournament, is gifting two free-use courts at the Don Koll Sports Complex, located in the Congrejos neighborhood. This initiative, a part of their agreement with the city in place of tournament fees, marks a significant shift from exclusive resort-only access to a more inclusive tennis scene.
Set to begin construction in early 2024, the courts promise to be a game-changer for tennis enthusiasts who previously faced high rental costs at private facilities. The Don Koll complex, featuring all-weather amenities, will also serve as a community hub, offering activities beyond tennis.
East Cape Guild's Songwriters Festival: A Fundraising Hit
The East Cape Guild’s first Songwriters Music Festival, featuring talents from Nashville’s Combustion Music and international artists, was a resounding success in Los Barriles, East Cape, raising over $38,000 for student scholarships in Baja California Sur.
Building on this triumph, the Guild plans a second festival on March 1 and 2, hosted at the Palmas Cortez Hotel. Details of the 2024 event, including exclusive interactions with the songwriters, will be announced later. The East Cape Guild, a volunteer-led non-profit, has been supporting education for over 26 years.
